El Rancho's Dakota Village Tipis
Where they came from, where they went and exactly who they were remains somewhat of a mystery but, they left behind their story. It is this story that we invite you to experience firsthand.

Step back nearly 800 years in time and visit the Dakota Village our authentic Indian Village. This historical experience is situated in the heart of El Rancho's Estate overlooking the beautiful Ghodrasmountains. Breathtaking nature trails and ample BBQ facilities make this a must stop for families and Groups to camp in the original Indian Tipi (tent).

Dakota Village is equipped to ensure you a camping experience where you feel you are really transported to the old Wild West Native Americans land. Sioux Indian tents, bonfire, & music complete the ambiance. It’s all real and genuine!!! Our Tipis (original Indian tent) come in several sizes; you may rent a luxury double Tipi for 1 couple or a family Tipi for larger groups. Each Tipi is fully furnished with air-conditioning, satellite TV, WiFi, a mini fridge and its own independent fully equipped bathroom located in the basement floor.

Indian Legends:
Blue (A NI SA HO NI), who made medicine from a blue-colored plant to keep the children well. Also known as the Panther or Wild Cat Clan.

Long Hair (A NI GI LO HI), also known as The Twister, Hair Hanging Down or Wind Clan. They wore elaborate hairdos and walked with a proud, twisting gait. Peace Chiefs were usually of this clan.

Paint (A NI WO DI), who made red paint and served as healers and medicine men. They prepared teas for vapor therapy specific to each ailment.

Deer (A NI KA WI), keepers of the deer. Known for their speed afoot.
