Blugirl’s taste for mixing traditional tartan, peek-a-boo lace and bold leopard prints explains that they have looks for women who are feeling both demure and daring at the same time.<\/p>\n

Last Thursday, the womenswear collection for next winter was previewed. It was then the second day of Milan Fashion Week where Alexa Chung – the British style icon – was their muse. The label expresses “midway between tradition and urban accents, ultra-cosmopolitan, always cool” which happened to be Chung’s style.<\/p>\n

During the event, designer Anna Molinari’s collection started by showing a preppy coed look: green, red and navy plaid skirts, sometimes pleated, or pencil pants paired with green sweaters, pullovers or cardigans. The shoes on the other hand were leather ankle boots, worn with short dark socks.<\/p>\n

It latter changed into more feminine outfits. A tartan-printed taffeta bubble skirts were paired with a ruffle-neck lace shirt and topped with a loose-fitting leopard print jacket. It also showed off combining plaid, lace and leopard, where ladies pumps were worn to match the whole style.<\/p>\n

The collection finished with gold accents as well as sequined evening dresses and skirts.<\/p>\n

The dragon and swan motifs were also used based on Chung’s British-Chinese heritage. There were commanding dragon shaped necklaces and Chinese-style jackets which offered Asian flair, while sequined kissing swans on the evening wear shows the style from an English park.<\/p>\n

All looks were accentuated with shoulder bags in leopard print, tartan or sequins which were strapped across the body for a girl<\/p>\n
